![]() ![]() TG-8 is a passive device allowing to connect up to eight YAP cables (coax + power) and distribute power from a larger power suplly to a number of CCTV cameras. At one side there are BNC sockets for connecting cables to a DVR, at the second side - terminals for connecting coaxial cables from cameras and branch-joint for 8 power lines for the cameras. Each of the power outputs is protected by fuse (LED indicators show presence of the voltage - dark LED means a failure in the circuit).
The advantage of individual protections for all cameras is continuous operation of the system in the case of deliberate shorting the power circuit of a camera.
Specifications:
TG-8 is equipped with two power inputs (2.1/5.5mm socket/ cable clamps) that are connected in parallel. It is unimportant which of the two connectors is used - there may be used 2.1/5.5 DC jack (E3510), or stripped wires. This solution allows to connect the TG-8 distributors in series - e.g. power supply to the DC IN socket of the first device, the + and - terminals via cable and WT-2.1 jack to the DC IN of the second TG-8.
The device is prepared for direct connecting to power supply (via with 2.1/5.5mm jack) with YAP-75 K602050, T5997_100 cables. Connections made via TG-8 allow to use regular coaxial cables between the distributor and DVR, whereas the YAP cables are only used for connecting the distributor with the cameras. In case of a failure (usually due to mechanical reasons) it will be easier to exchange the regular cables between the distributor and DVR.
